ICAO ENGLISH EXAM
The purpose of the ICAO English exam is to determine the language proficiency level of pilots who fly outside the territory of the country, where they are native speakers and thus prevent misunderstandings in radio communications. The exam outcome of language proficiency is Level 1 to 6, where the minimum required level is ICAO Level 4.
Our organization is approved by the Civil Aviation Authority (ÚCL) to provide ICAO and IFR English and examinations as required by Part-FCL.055.
About ICAO and IFR English Exams
The exam is done face-to-face at the Příbram airport, or distantly "online" via the Teams application.
- The language proficiency exam takes approximately 25-30 minutes
- The test is recorded for archiving and review purposes
- At least 2 examiners are present at each exam
- Language examiners are carefully selected, approved by CAA and have extensive language experience, they also undergo standardization training every year
- You will know the result within a few minutes after the exam

ICAO AVIATION ENGLISH EXAM
Instrument rating holders must complete a specific language proficiency assessment in accordance with Part.FCL.055 (d). The purpose of the IFR English Language Proficiency Exam is to assess the pilot's ability to use standard aviation and IFR phraseology during the pre-flight as well as during the flight.
